Jediah’s back story includes his conviction at age nineteen of the rape and murder of a white teenage girl.
Is he guilty? You’ll have to see the movie.
Hearing his wife Victoria Hudson sing “Love You More Than Ever” reveals she certainly thinks Jediah is innocent. If Jediah is innocent, then for whom did Jediah serve ten years in the State Penitentiary?
Listening to Jediah sing “All I Know Is I Love You” helps us understand the depth of despair and desperation one feels when he realizes his life could well be taken from him. After all, both crimes carried the death penalty.
Is it just a coincidence, that on the same day a beautiful teenager’s virginity and life was maliciously taken from her, the grandfather Jimmy never knew, Harold Rogers was in an automobile accident that took his life?
You’ll have to see the movie.
Jimmy Rogers’ Father Red was blamed for the death of his own Father because Harold Rogers was out looking for Red to give him some good news Red had been waiting for. What was that “good news”?
See the movie.
Being blamed for the death of his own Father made Red conclude “life is a cruel joke, barely worth living”. It happened on the day Red and his best friend Harry Hedrick skipped school to be with the Thompson twins.
On their way to Rawling’s Drug Store, they witnessed the automobile accident that ended the life of Harold Rogers, Red’s Father.
What drove the main character in the Jimmy Rogers Chronicles to the top railing of the Langford Bridge was a series of reversals that occur toward the end of the second act in the movie.
These cascading events, culminating in seeing his girlfriend Marie Scappelli in the arms of another bring Jimmy’s battle to break from his father Red Rogers’ belief that “life was senseless”, to a head.
Does Jimmy lose this battle? Will the suspicious deaths of his cousin and best friend David Perkins and David’s girlfriend Cathy Carlson prove to be an accident? Or did someone kill them?
See the movie.
By chance, Jediah was walking toward the Langford Bridge on his way to The Light Tabernacle just as Jimmy went over the top railing, heading toward sure death upon the rocks in the cold, icy river waters below.
Will Jediah reach Jimmy in time to save him.
See the movie.
